Transfer Window Round Up - Summer 2015
After limping towards Championship safety last season, Chris Hughton was given significant funds to reshape his squad this year in order to avoid the same fate. No players sold and nine new faces into the first team represented a welcome change in policy on recent years debacles.
***VOTE NOW*** Player of the Month - August 2015
Well bugger me. Who'd have thought Brighton would be sitting at the top of the table, three points clear and unbeaten in the league through the opening month? Certainly not us. And that form has meant a bumper Player of the Month shortlist from which to pick your star performer from.
Brighton sign Elvis
We're all shook up at the news that Brighton have signed highly rated Dutch under 21 attacker Elvis Manu from Feyernoord for 1.5m. Capable of playing anywhere across the attack, the Albion fought off competition from Watford for the players signature. Blimey.
Match Preview - Ipswich Town v Brighton
Words we didn't expect to have to write in a match preview when the season kicked off three weeks ago - "top of the table clash". Yet here we are travelling to the superb Mick McCarthy's Ipswich sitting second in the league with our hosts leading the way. Bloody hell.
Match Review - Walsall 2-1 Brighton
The Albion fall to a 2-1 defeat at Walsall in the COCup and miss out on the chance to host Chelsea in round three. Meanwhile, Chris O'Grady's missed penalty has passed out of Earth's atmosphere and was last seen heading towards Mars.
Lewis Dunk signs new five year deal
Well, we're not sure anybody expected this. Fresh after the news that he refused to play away at Southend in the COCup, Lewis Dunk has put pen to paper on a new five year contract with the Albion which no doubt contains a significant pay rise. Sorry Fulham.
Match Preview - Brighton v Blackburn Rovers
The Albion will look to continue their unbeaten start when Blackburn Rovers visit The Amex. With Rudy Gustede sold and Jordan Rhodes injured, Chris Hughton's task looks a lot easier than it perhaps would have done not so long ago.
Brighton sign Shrews defender Goldson
Talented 22-year-old Shrewsbury defender Connor Goldson puts pen to paper on a four year deal, moving from the wonderful named and incorrectly spelt Greenhous Meadow. He scores goals, he is good on the ball - sounds like a certain want-away centre back actually...
Match Preview - Huddersfield Town v Brighton
Top of the league Brighton and Hove Albion head north for the second furthest away game of the season which very kindly the Football League have given on a Tuesday. The destination? Huddersfield Town, exactly six years to the day since we lost 7-1 at the John Smiths Stadium.
Albion Images - Fulham 1-2 Brighton
Fulham last year was a brilliant day out, and this year more than lived up to those expectations as the Albion won 2-1 in the sunshine at Craven Cottage. So much fun did we have that we managed to capture a bonus 30 photos from proceedings as Brighton went top of the league.
