Brighton and Hove Albion once again faced a Premier League
team in the Carling Cup. This time it was the turn of
Liverpool to visit the Amex Stadium in the third round,
live on Sky Sports to boot! Sadly the Albion's cup run
came to an end as they went down 2-1, Craig Bellamy and
Dirk Kuyt got the goals for the Reds with Ashley Barnes
thumping home a penalty right at the end.
