Mode
of Transport:
A simple train journey would see the Crocs travel
to Clapham Junction, and then catch a connecting
train to Brentford. |
 |
Team:
Mr Wilkins went with a 4-4-2 line up of: Kuipers,
O'Ceaurill, Butters, Lynch, Mayo; Ward, El-Abd,
Bertin, Hammond; Cox, Robinson. |
 |
Kit:
Brentford wore their inspiring number of red and
white striped shirts, black shorts and black socks.
Brighton chose their away kit, composing of white
shirts, blue shorts and blue socks. Michel Kuipers
chose to wear the aqua shirt with gold trim, navy
shorts, and bizarrely white socks, which somewhat
ruined the look. |

Dean
Wilkins Attire:
Pressure is building on Mr Wilkins not only because
of the sides performances, but because of his
fashion - another boring day consisting of his
drab attire of tracksuit and trench coat. |
 |
Weather:
A chilled but at times sunny afternoon was in
store. |
 |
Stadium
Rating:
Griffindor Park is famed for having a pub on each
corner of the ground, and it is a throw back to
the stadiums of a by-gone era. A wooden main stand,
with terracing behind each goal, and one being
comprised of a somewhat flair "double decker"
stand. The lack of roof was somewhat disappointing
though. 6/10 |
 |
Food
Rating:
One of the outlets had run out of a hotdogs, and
the burgers on offer left a lot to be desired,
being compared more to beef jerky as opposed to
a beef burger. 3/10 |
 |
Entertainment:
Nothing was on offer before the game or during
half time, apart from the one intoxicated Albion
fan who climbed onto the pitch and scored a penalty
past Tommy Fraser during the interval, only to
be removed from the ground by the stewards. 2/10 |
 |
Friendliness
of Locals:
They appeared to keep themselves to themselves,
and didn't really mingle with the large traveling
support, maybe due to fear of being taken from
behind. 2/10 |
 |
Standard
of Local Females:
Again, we did not have the opportunity to spot
any talent in amongst the Griffindor regulars |
 |
Steward
Rating:
No dealings were had with the
stewards, although they did seem a tad heavy handed
in their approach to remove the fan who stuck
a penalty past Fraser at half time. 5/10 |
 |
Flag
Attention:
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the terrace,
their were a distinct lack of places to erect
the flag, so it remained in Potters pocket. |
 |
Match
Report:
Another disappointing day out for the Albion saw
them slip dangerously close to the relegation
zone after going down 1-0 at Brentford. A poor
performance saw a sloppy goal given away as the
ball was lost in midfield, allowing Jo Kuffour
the time he needed to stick it past Kuipers. Another
game past without a real goal threat, and the
day out was compounded when Kerry Mayo was needlessly
sent off just before half time for a second yellow. |
 |
Thought
of the Day:
After spotting that the referee only had one arm,
Rumble questioned whether they had any second
hand stores in Brentford. |
