Somehow, Brighton have a very real chance of survival. Their penultimate away game of the season was the re-arranged trip to Bristol Rovers, a game in hand on those sides above them. With the hosts having nothing to play for, and the Seagulls having won their last two games, the visiting supporters were hopefull. Could the Albion make it three league wins a row for the first time this season, and with it lift themselves out of the relegation zone with only two games remaining

 

With a victory needed, McCarthy decided to take Alex Retter with him due to the fact that he had never seen a Brighton defeat
