Mode
of Transport:
With alcohol being taken in, a walk to the ground
was deemed the most sensible way to attend. Witham
drove in order to meet the crawling Crocs at Leylands
Park. |
 |
Team:
Micky chose a traditional 4-4-2 line-up, with
the following personnel: Sullivan, El-Abd, Virgo,
Hawkins, Loft; Hart, Fraser, Thomson, Robinson;
Gatting, Murray. |
 |
Kit:
Burgess Hill went with their home kit of yellow
and black halved shirts, black shorts and yellow
socks. The Albion went for their brand new third
choice kit, consisting of sky blue shirts, shorts
and socks. John Sullivan modeled a dashing red
goalkeepers jersey with white and black trim,
black shorts and black socks. |

Adams Attire:
Mr Adams went for the traditional coaches look,
wearing regulation training t-shirt alongside
track suit bottoms |
 |
Weather:
A warm and sunny evening over Burgess Hill. |
 |
Stadium
Rating:
Leylands Park has undergone several improvements
in recent years in order to allow Burgess Hill
to play in the Ryman League. A smart seated stand,
consisting of yellow and black seats occupies
one side, while behind one goal is a well furnished
club house. 3/10 |

Food
Rating:
Food was foregone in order to attend the bar,
which was offering ludicrously cheap pints. 9/10 |
 |
Entertainment:
None on offer |

Friendliness
of Locals:
Very friendly. One local even bought our drinks
for us owing to his position in the queue. The
Burgess Hill fans were very local in cheering
on their team. 8/10 |

Standard
of Local Females:
: Very high, if not slightly prostitute-esque.

No stewards appeared to be

Flag
Attention:
We were unable to gauge the attention of the flag
as it is currently in Nottingham. Somewhere. |

Match
Report:
A somewhat lackluster performance from a mixed-bag
of an Albion line-up saw them run out 2-0 winners.
Gary Hart, released at the end of last season
by former manager Dean Wilkins but now back on
a trial basis, set up captain Steve Thomson to
open the scoring, before adding one himself in
the second half with a header. Burgess Hill rarely
threatened the Albion goal, in which goalkeeping
coach Paul Crichton was given a run out, much
to the delight of the crowd. |

Thought
of the Day:
Would a game show in which contestants are pitted
against deadly animals in a concealed gauntlet-type
environment, with a cash prize should they survive,
be picked up by a tv network and indeed be a success? |
