Mode
of Transport:
The train was once again the mode of transport,
with an easy journey from Haywards Heath to Luton,
and then via St Pancras and the London Underground
on the return home. |

Team:
Adams named the following in a 4-4-2 formation:
Kuipers, Whing, Virgo, El-Abd, Livermore; Birchall,
Fraser, Jarrett, Cox; Forster, Andrews. |
 |
Kit:
Luton wore their customary home uniforms of white
shirts, black shorts and white socks. Brighton
were in their third choice kits of all sky blue,
while Michel wore the stunning green, black and
white goalkeepers jersey, with black shorts and

Weather:
Light drizzle, and a little fresh in deepest darkest
Bedfordshire. |

Stadium
Rating:
One side is made up of simply executive boxes
raised above the pitch, while behind the goal
is a large, seated area. The main stand is made
up of around three different sections, while away
fans are housed in a reasonably sized seated stand
behind the goal that is entered through someone's
house. 6/10 |
 |
Food
Rating:
Despite knowing that the away end was sold out,
the club ran out of hot food, forcing McCarthy
to have a Mars Bar. 1/10 |
 |
Entertainment:
A mascot who looked distinctly like Kerry Mayo
wearing a large hat as he was a hatter was about
as good as it got. 2/10 |
 |
Friendliness
of Locals:
A lovely pitch invasion at the end with a lot
of hand gestures and general rudeness did nothing
to increase this rating. 5/10 |
 |
Standard
of Local Females:
Rumble went on the pull in the Wetherspoons we
frequented, but apart from those women the rest
could only be described as disappointing. 4/10 |
 |
Steward
Rating:
No problems encountered. 8/10 |
 |
Flag
Attention:
We were unable to gauge the attention of the flag
as it is currently in Nottingham. Somewhere. |

Match
Report:
League Two bottom club Luton Town progressed to
the Johnstone Paint Trophy Final at Wembley with
a penalty shoot out victory over Brighton. A monumental
cock up between Adam Virgo and the returning Michel
Kuipers saw Luton take an early lead, but a Nicky
Forster equaliser was enough to take the game
to spot kicks. Luton scored 100% of their efforts,
while Jason Jarrett and Chris Birchall missed
their efforts to leave Brighton to concentrate
on staying in League One |
