The last ever season for the Albion at Withdean is one
that is approached with great optimism. Following Russell
Slade's sacking and the appointment of Gus Poyet, the
Seagulls had somewhat of a remarkable turn around in
fortunes that saw them climb from the relegation zone to
the top half of the table in the second half of the
season. With a number of flair signings from foreign lands
and a sensible chunk of money being spent, hopes are high
that a genuine tilt at the play-offs can be made this time
around and that their just might be a chance that the
American Express Community Stadium will open with a season
of Championship football.
