Mode
of Transport:
With local station Bletchley reachable on
Southern services, a wonderful group save ticket
was purchased for just £6 per person on the
train |
 |
Team:
The now usual 4-3-3 formation consisting of:
Ankergren, Calderon, El Abd, Greer, Painter;
Bennett, BridcuttDicker; Wood, Murray, Barnes |
 |
Kit:
McDons wore their home uniforms of all white,
while the Albion were subsequently forced into
their change strips of red and black stripes,
black shorts and red socks. Casper wore the
emerald green goalkeepers jersey with black
shorts and stockings |
 |
Gus
Poyet's Attire:
Gus braved the elements in standard-issue suit,
and looked bloody good in the process |
 |
Weather:
One rain shower before the game was the only
time the heavens opened, leaving a mild and
overcast day in Milton Keynes |
 |
Stadium
Rating:
stadium:mk is still not completed, with the
missing upper tier leaving the ground looking a
bit silly. Thankfully, the parts that are
finished make up for it. Comfortable, padded
seats (the same that will adorn the Amex) and
plenty of leg room mean it's a good environment
to watch soccer - especially if you fancy a
sleep. 8/10 |

Food
Rating:
No food was partaken, although the reasonably
priced £3 for a bottle of Gaymers did receive a
lot of abuse |
 |
Entertainment:
Nothing on offer |
 |
Friendliness
of Locals:
McDons is such a new club that they haven't
really attracted any nasty elements, so locals
were all very friendly and more than willing to
talk football and life with their visitors. 9/10 |
 |
Standard
of Local Females:
Women seems to be the one thing this new city is
missing, with the few we did see not being of
the most attractive persuasion. 3/10 |
 |
Steward
Rating:
Jobsworths
would be a choice term. Closed several exits,
even to young children and the elderly, and
forced Albion fans into a small area, with
anyone who dared cross an imaginary line
threatened with ejection. Needless to say, this
was tested to the limit. 3/10 |
 |
Flag
Attention:
The flag was not taken to Milton Keynes |
 |
Match
Report:
Albion's poor record in Milton Keynes continued
as they failed to break their scoring duck in a
1-0 defeat to McDons. The home side took the
lead in the first half and despite being reduced
to ten man, the visitors never looked like
getting back into the game in one of the least
memorable performances of the season |
 |
Thought
of the Day:
With the Crocs on Tour's pulling record in 2011
best described as being wank, the general
consensus was that with the way things are going
we would struggle to pull a woman in a
wheelchair |
