Mode
of Transport:
The Witham Mobile was used to reach our destination,
and she performed admirably on the journey |
Navigation:
Not as easy as we would've liked, as we went to
the wrong place to start with. However, this may
have been more down to the fact that we had no
directions and thus relied on a map, where the
ground was not actually labeled |
Kit:
Littlehampton were in the home colours of yellow
shirts, black shorts and black stockings, while
visitors Crawley wore white shirts, red shorts
and red stockings |
Weather:
A warm and sunny evening made for great football
viewing weather |
Facilities:
We did not use the toilets on offer at the stadium,
but the burger hut was managed professionally
by Dianne |
Stadium
Rating:
The ground is shared with the local cricket club,
which meant there were only stands on one side,
with the rest being just temporary perimeter fencing.
2/10 |
Food
Rating:
Dianne did a fine job with the food, as the hotdogs
and burgers were particularly nice and well priced.
However, the fact that oven chips were on offer
means that the rating drops slightly. 6/10 |
Entertainment:
There was none at the ground, not even any pre-match
music, only one man behind the goal who was your
typical non-league anorak. 0/10 |
Player
who stood out:
Littlehampton's second half goalkeeper was something
special. Wearing tight shorts with a fine pair
of buttocks, Wes made some vital saves to keep
his side in the game. With the current Albion
goalkeeper crisis, surely Mark McGhee cannot ignore
this man for much longer |
Friendliness
of Locals:
What can you say? A man behind the goal was intent
on talking to us for a good 10 minutes, explaining
his stern letter to Hailsham FC for not having
any hotdogs, his anger at the fact that Littlehampton
had to wear their away kit at an away game, despite
the fact the colours didn't clash, and finally
how he saw a woman with incredibly large breasts,
and was like "Yes please". Simply superb, and
earns this rating on his own. 10/10 |
Standard
of Local Females:
There were few on offer at the ground, but two
rather attractive sisters sat next to us in the
'grandstand', although they were rather young.
6/10 |
Flag
Attention:
The flag was not present |
Match
Report:
A 1-0 victory for Littlehampton was sealed from
the penalty spot against a Crawley Reserve Team.
However, it was the visitors who controlled most
of the game, and Littlehampton's victory was largely
thanks to the legendary Wes, who played the second
half in goal |
Thought
of the Day:
As we drove to the game, discussing Tom Witham
gaining potential points for speeding, a wonderful
idea was formed - that of every road having a
special lane for drink drivers, allowing people
to drink and drive at the same time. Genius |
