End
of Season Awards 2011/12 - The Results
We asked you to vote in a bumper 11 categories for
our WeAreBrighton.com End of Season Awards 2011-12
and vote you did. There were surprises, predictable
results and one man even became the first to defend
his crown. And here are the full results of who made
a memorable season that bit more special |
 |
Player of the Month
2011/12 - April Results
The final month of the 2011-12 season saw you vote
two men who may have pulled on the blue and white
stripes for the last time into the top three of he
polls. And if they have played their final games, it
seems a fitting way for both Vicente and Alan
Navarro to end their Albion careers |
 |
Player of the Month
2011/12 - April 2012 *POLL CLOSED*
Six games, no wins and only three goals scored put
an end to the Albion's play-off hopes in the final
month of the 2011-12 season. It's made it quite hard
to put together a shortlist but there are seven
names on it vying for the prize of WeAreBrighton.com
Player of the Month for April 2012 |
 |
End of Season Awards
2011/12 *POLL CLOSED*
It's been one of the most memorable seasons in years
for Brighton and Hove Albion, and now you can have
your say on what were the highlights in our
prestigious WeAreBrighton.com End of Season awards -
with 11 categories to vote in including the coveted
Player of the Season gong |
 |
Player of the Month
2011/12 - March Results
A
result less predictable than Vladimir Putin winning
the Russian elections. He's already got a number of
people claiming that he is the best player to ever
pull on the stripes and in his first full month of
first team action without injury interrupting, over
75% of you voted for him to be Player of the Month
for March. Ole ole ole.... |
 |
Player of the Month
2011/12 - March 2012 *POLL CLOSED*
Another month with only one defeat in it saw the
Albion move into their highest position since
September of fourth, despite only winning twice. And
both of those victories were inspired by one man,
who we expect to do pretty well in our poll for the
March 2012 Player of the Month |
 |
Player of the Month
2011/12 - February Results
Barring the 6-1 mauling in the FA Cup at Liverpool,
the Albion's recent charge to the edge of the
play-off spots had been built on a solid defence.
And that was reflected in who you voted as your top
three in our player of the month polls for February |
 |
Player of the Month - February 2012 *POLL CLOSED*
Brighton remained unbeaten through the month of
February in the league with defeat only coming in
the former of the comedyfending game at Liverpool in
the FA Cup. A number of new signings shone in the
blue and white, making it a bumper list for
Februarys player of the month |
 |
Player of the Month
2011/12 - January Results
An unbeaten start to 2011/12 meant there were a
number of credible candidates to take home January's
Player of the Month as the Albion soared into
play-off contention and the FA Cup Fifth Round. As
it was, it turned into a landslide with the winner
taking home over 75% of your votes |
 |
Player of the Month
- January 2012 *POLL CLOSED*
An unbeaten January saw the Albion put themselves
back into play-off contention as well as progressing
the the fifth round of the FA Cup. Several fringe
players secured their place in the starting line
up's with commanding performances which means a
bumper shortlist for player of the month |
 |
Player of the Month
2011/12 - December Results
A larger-than-normal shortlist was in place for
December as only one goal scored in only one win
made it hard to pick an Albion player who had shone.
You managed to do so though by voting in your
numbers again in what was our tightest
WeAreBrighton.com player of the month poll so far in
the 2011/12 season |
 |
Player of the Month
- December 2011 *POLL CLOSED*
Will Buckley was the only man to hit the target in
December for the Albion with that dramatic last
minute winner against Nottingham Forest. It's made
compiling this shortlist particularly hard given
that there were four defeats, although admittedley
Mr Pawson's refereeing of the Burnley game has not
helped |
 |
Player of the Month
2011/12 - November Results
An upturn in form for November saw the Albion secure
three wins, with Coventry and Derby featuring
performances that will be remembered for the
determined defence put up by the Seagulls. It was no
surprise then to see two defenders voted in the top
three for our player of the month polls |
 |
Player of the Month
- November 2011 *POLL CLOSED*
Three wins and two defeats represented an
improvement on October's form as the Seagulls soared
into seventh place. A couple of players who wouldn't
have expected to play such key roles did in the
upturn in form, and that is reflected in the
shortlist with both Casper Ankergren and Mauricio
Taricoo on there |
 |
Player of the Month
2011/12 - October Results
A
winless month and one in which we only scored two
goals in total made it difficult to even come up
with a shortlist for October's player of the month.
We managed it though and there was somewhat of a
shock in second and a dead heat for third - but who
won the big prize? |
 |
Player of the Month -
October 2011 *POLL CLOSED*
A
tough run of fixtures against some of the divisions
bigger sides saw the Albion winless in October and
picking up just three points from 15. That's made it
particularly hard to put together this months
shortlist for player of the month but we've done it
and now need your votes! |
 |
Player of the Month
2011/12 - September Results
Despite only one win in September, five points from
a possible twelve and that defeat against Crystal
Palace, you still voted in your droves for our
Player of the Month award. Find out who you thought
shone in a pretty poor four weeks for the Albion and
who took home the crown |
 |
Player of the Month -
September 2011 *POLL CLOSED*
One win in September and five league points out of a
possible twelve saw the Albion bought back down to
earth with a bump with that defeat against Crystal
Palace obviously hurting the most. But who has been
your star performer in September? Vote now for the
WeAreBrighton Player of the Month |
 |
Players of the Month 2011/12 - August Results

you have voted as the star performer. August's
results are now IN! |
 |
Player of the Month - August 2011 *POLL CLOSED*
Unbeaten so far with a Premier League scalp in the
Carling Cup and sitting pretty at the top of the
nPower Championship. It hasn't been a bad first
month at The Amex really. But who has impressed you
the most? Vote now on our first WeAreBrighton Player
of the Month of 2011/12 |
 |
End
of Season Awards 2010/11 - The Results
It's been one of the most successful season on the
pitch in memory for the Albion this year, so the time
has come to honour those who have made it so memorable
as we reveal who you voted as the winners in the second
annual We Are Brighton End of Season awards across
ten highly competitive categories |
|
|
Withdean's
Greatest XI Revealed
You've been voting for nine weeks for the twelve men
who have been the best to pull on the stripes during
the eleven year stay at our former temporary home
at the Theatre of Trees. Now we can exclusively reveal
just who you have chosen to be in our Withdean's Greatest
XI dream team
|
 |
Withdean's
Greatest XI Vote - Manager *POLL CLOSED*
The final poll in our Withdean Greatest XI series
is arguably the most important - the man in the dugout.
Four have lead the Albion to promotion, three winning
the titles along the way. Throw in great escapes from
relegation and it turns out we've actually been pretty
blessed with the men in charge down the years. But
who has been Withdean's best manager? |
 |
Withdean's
Greatest XI Vote - Strikers *POLL CLOSED*
Bobby Zamora. Leon Knight. Nicky Forster. Glenn Murray.
We've had some great centre forwards throughout the
Withdean years, and our final players poll for the
Withdean Greatest XI aims to find two to fill the
position from a bumper field of fourteen strikers
to have worn the stripes since 1999 |
 |
Withdean's
Greatest XI Vote - Central Midfield *POLL CLOSED*
It's a position that has given us two player-of-the-season
winners in Dean Hammond and Andrew Crofts, greats
winding down their careers like Radostin Kishishev
and Simon Rodger, and up-and-coming talent like Steve
Sidwell. Goal scorers, tough tacklers and natural
leaders make up our poll for Withdeans Greatest Central
Midfielder |
 |
Withdean's
Greatest XI Vote - Left Wing *POLL CLOSED*
While the left side of midfield is a position that
England has struggled to produce players for, the
Albion have had no such trouble filling it during
their time at Withdean. From the pace of Kazenga LuaLua
to the trickery of Darren Currie, we've had some great
left wingers down the years. But who do you think
was the best to pull on the stripes? |
 |
Withdean's
Greatest XI Vote - Right Wing *POLL CLOSED*
Our poll for Withdean's Greatest Right Winger has
proved to be a particularly hard one to put together
- so much so there are only five nominations and even
a couple of them are scraping the barrel! It will
probably be a two horse race between the first man
to hold down the position and the most recent, so
let the battle commence! |
 |
Withdean's
Greatest XI Vote - Centre Backs *POLL CLOSED*
Since we've been at Withdean, centre backs have won
six of the ten player-of-the-season awards. Three
promotions, particularly in the play-off season we're
built on strong defences. In our latest poll to find
Withdean's Greatest XI, we're looking to fill both
remaining spots in defence, which means you can vote
for your two best central defenders |
 |
Withdean's
Greatest XI Vote - Left Back *POLL CLOSED*
With the exception of Kerry Mayo, it feels like we've
had a different left back every season since moving
to Withdean. Loan players, youth team products moving
onto better things and horrific injuries to internal
organs have all played their part in the lack of consistency.
So the question remains, who has been the Seagulls
best left-back? |
 |
Withdean's
Greatest XI Vote - Right Back *POLL CLOSED*
The Albion have been blessed with some attacking right
backs since their arrival at Withdean. The likes of
Paul Watson and Inigo Calderon have offered just as
much of a goal threat as they have defensively. But
who would you select to make the position their own
in the Withdean Greatest XI? |
 |
Withdean's Greatest XI Vote - Goalkeeper *POLL CLOSED*
In our first poll to find out who you think would
be the ultimate Brighton XI to represent the Seagulls
from the Withdean years, we ask you to vote on our
nine nominated goalkeepers. We've played 24 since
moving back to Brighton in 1999 as well as countless
more unused substitutes, but who was the ultimate
number one for you? |

this season |
