Brighton and Hove Albion - Moments In Time

It's a trip down memory lane as we look back at some of the most memorable moments in the history of Brighton and Hove Albion

The Withdean Years - Part Three
The concluding part of our look back at the Withdean Years features Russell Slade's great escape heroics, plus the moment that could be seen in years to come as the catalyst for some of the most glorious times in the clubs history - the arrival of a certain Gus Poyet as manager
The Withdean Years - Part Two
Our second part of The Withdean Years trilogy takes a look back at 2003-2007. Despite featuring a successful play-off campaign and avoidance of relegation from the Championship, it will be remembered as the start of the barren Withdean years with 2005-06 being the catalyst for four years of forgettable football
The Withdean Years - Part One
The first part of our look back at Brighton and Hove Albion' tenancy at Withdean Stadium focuses on 1999-2003 - the clubs most successful while playing at the athletics track with two divisional titles won and a memorable and ultimately unsuccessful battle against relegation from the second tier
One Game from the Top Flight - the 1991 Play-Off Final
On June 2nd 1991, Brighton and Hove Albion went to Wembley to face Notts County in the Division Two play-off final, with the victor winning promotion to the top flight of English football. In front of 60,000 people, the Seagulls went down 3-1 under the twin towers. We've found some classic old photos of the day the Albion came so close to rejoining the elite
Withdean West Stand - The Worst Away End in the Football League
Portsmouth's visit in the FA Cup saw home fans given the option to sit in Withdean's West Stand, widely accepted to be the worst away end in the Football League. In the name of research, and not because it was the cheapest area to sit in, we decided to take up this rare opportunity to see just how bad the stand is
Special Edition Kits
With the news that the Albion will wear an all-white one-off shirt away at Dagenham and Redbridge due to a kit clash, we take a look back at the clubs record of six special edition jerseys in seven seasons and the reasons they were used varrying from tributes to colour clashes as the Seagulls look to overhaul Manchester United as the kings of new kits
Goldstone's Last Stand - Doncaster Rovers Home 26/04/1997
The Goldstone hosted its last ever game on Saturday 26th April 1997 after 95 years. Doncaster were the visitors as the Albion won 1-0 to move off the bottom of the Football League for the first time since October. Here are a collection of photos from that damp and emotional day when Brighton and Hove Albion bid farewell to The Goldstone Ground
Lights Out at The Goldstone - Barnet Home 01/04/1997
The Goldstone Ground held its last ever evening match on April 1st 1997. Barnet were the visitors and a 1-0 victory for the Albion saw them close the gap to Hereford to two points at the bottom of Division 3. We recently discovered a number of photos from the game that saw the Seagulls say goodbye to the magic of the Goldstone under lights.
