“You are very silly really”David Stockdale, Twitter
“An embarassment to the fans”Common as Monk, NSC

WeAreBrighton.com was founded in 2009, originally as a home for the Albion Moan In podcast which was born to give Brighton supporters a voice after the BBC Southern Counties Fans Phone In was cancelled due to presenter Ian Hart calling a supporter a “window licker” live on air.

From these strange beginnings, we soon added a blog, a Twitter feed and a Facebook page and nearly a decade on, we’ve found ourselves as the largest unofficial fan site to do with a mid table Premier League side.

A far cry from when we were discussing how to build a website in a pub after we’d lost 4-0 at home to Crewe Alexandra with former television salesman Dean White in temporary charge.

As a result of all this, we’ve picked up numerous writing gigs including contributing to the BBC, Sky Sports News, talkSPORT, Four Four Two, World Soccer Magazine, OLBG and a regular column for the Brighton and Hove Independent among others.

We’re always open to new writing and media opportunities, so if you are looking for an Albion viewpoint please get in touch via email to webteam@wearebrighton.com and we’ll be only too happy to help.

We’ve been twice nominated in the Football Blogging Awards, making the final in the 2012, 2018 and 2019 editions of the prestigious competition that recognises the best football bloggers around.

It probably doesn’t need saying when we are getting into spats with David Stockdale and his wife over his unseemly weight gain, but we are in no way affiliated to the Albion and all the views expressed on here are our own and normally fuelled by at least 10 pints before kick off, particularly for away games.
