Volt kit to stay for the 2017-18 season

Well it looks as though just for once, Brighton and Hove Albion are attempting to not fleece supporters over replica kits.

Missed among the David Stockdale saga finally come to and end and the outpouring of grief/ecstasy/jealousy/relief (delete as applicable) that that has bought, the Albion announced that last seasons away kit will be sticking around for another year.

That means that supporters do not need to buy three entirely new kits for the 2017/18 season. The Volt Kit as it is known for reasons that we don’t entirely understand will now become the Albion’s third kit, with a brand new away kit to be released along with the smart home shirt that was revealed by Anthony Knockaert at the Promotion Pararde.

There will be plenty of fingers crossed that, unlike all of our other away kits supplied by Nike so far, the new change strip will not be straight from the Nike catalogue, leaving us to look exactly the same as Hartlepool United or some other club supplied by Nike.

Hopes are high that won’t be the case given that for the first time ever, we actually have a unique home kit. And even more shocking than that is Paul Barber not trying to fleece the fans out of £60 worth of money for a new third kit.

There is one catch however – due to Premier League regulations, the 2017/18 Volt shirt won’t be allowed to have an American Express Logo on the back as last seasons did. So technically, there will be a different design although it is so minuscule, you’d have to be a total kit geek to notice it.
