WeAreBrighton.com are looking for new contributors for 2021-22

Do you have opinions on Brighton & Hove Albion you want to share with the world? Can you string a coherent sentence or two together? Would you like to write for a four-time Football Content Awards nominated website?

If the answer to any of those questions is yes (and even if it is only a maybe) then the good news is that we are looking for new contributors to We Are Brighton for the 2021-22 season and beyond.

WAB received over 981,000 visits in 2020 and we have by far the largest reach of any Albion fan site on social media with articles pushed out to over 48,000 followers on Twitter and more than 26,000 on Facebook. That is a lot of people potentially reading you work.

You can write about anything Brighton related you like. A tactical breakdown of Joel Veltman’s contribution at right wing back. Aaron Connolly’s latest haircut. Your favourite Albion cult hero. Losing 5-1 at home to Stoke City. Graham Potter as a fashion icon. Why a Fanta bottle with a lid on is more dangerous than a nuclear weapon.

Praise of the club for supporting NHS workers and it’s work in the community is as welcome as criticism of the club for charging £3.20 for a bag of Starburst or not giving Glenn Murray a testimonial.

We want to encompass a broad range of opinions. All we would ask is that you don’t besmirch the good name of Brighton & Hove Albion too much as that goes against the terms and conditions of a season ticket.

Work would be credited to you unless you want to remain anonymous or assume a pseudonym. You do not need to have any prior experience of writing or technical knowhow. Just stick the words down and we will do the rest.

If you already create Albion-related content, then you could use writing for WAB to publicise your own podcasts/website/YouTube thing. Contributions can made as frequently or infrequently as suits.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in or you have any questions, then drop us an email to wearebrighton@hotmail.co.uk. Include a little bit about your Albion supporting history and hopefully it will be the start of a beautiful relationship.
