Brighton this year seem to have a reasonably balanced and settled squad compared to other years they have spent in the Premier League since their promotion and their fans will be hopeful that they can really push on this season.

Although their league position doesn’t really show this as of yet, many fans will think that they are currently under achieving and that this squad can become a whole lot better as the season goes on.

First of all, they certainly do have goals in this squad with multiple players having the ability to be able to put the ball in the back of the net.

Summer signing Danny Welbeck brings bags of experience from his days at Manchester United and Arsenal and has looked sharp since his return from injury.

Neal Maupay has been their talisman this year with his direct and aggressive dribbling style and has caused many defences a lot of trouble with his 4 goals in 9 appearances this year.

And the back, Brighton have always looked like a solid team with their back three of Ben White, Lewis Dunk and Adam Webster. Although they have been leaky recently due to some injuries, we expect this to improve soon.

Tariq Lamptey has been their greatest player this year through and is quickly becoming one of the most raved about English right backs due to his performances on the pitch.

Although Brighton’s league targets will always be to survive the drop, we do believe that this squad does have the ability to finish mid table and be pushing for a top ten finish. This might be just out of reach at the moment, but with season to come its certainly something that is achievable.
