Brighton v Spurs moved for television coverage

Brighton and Hove Albion’s game against Tottenham Hotspur at the Amex Stadium has been bought forward a day and will now take place on Friday 20th April kicking off at 8pm – subject to both sides being knocked out of the FA Cup.

Sky Sports are intending to show the game live due to the fantastic entertainment the Albion have produced against sides from the top six so far this season, in which they’ve managed to score a grand total of one goal from seven games – and that was from the softest penalty decision you’ll ever see when Liverpool visited Sussex.

Spurs’ visit happens to be FA Cup Semi Final weekend, and both teams are still in the competition. Should the Albion pull off a shock win at Old Trafford or Spurs manage to successfuly negotiate their replay this week with the might of Rochdale before knocking out either Swansea City or Sheffield Wednesday in the last eight, then the game will again find itself rescheduled.

Last time the two sides met was at Wembley in December, Spurs showing what a huge club they are and how necessary a stadium with one seat more than Arsenal’s is by failing to sell over half their tickets for their comfortable 2-0 win.
